Review: Lavender 6 Pack

Lavender 6 Pack
**
2 out 5 stars

The Lavender 6 Pack by Cal Exotics would make a great introductory vibrator kit for those who are just starting to explore the use of toys to enhance their sexual experience. I say would because of the material used for it, but more on that later.

The kit comes with two traditional vibrators and four vibrator sleeves to give a variety of sensations during play. The larger vibrator measures 7 inches of which 6 inches is insertable. The smaller one is 5 1/4 inch with an insertable length of 4 1/2 inches.  The vibrators themselves are smooth and fairly simple to use with a base dial. The larger one uses 2 AA batteries while the smaller uses a single AA battery. They can be a little on the loud side, so they may not be great for those who share a living space.

The sleeves allow for a mix and match, giving the user a variety options of texture, sensation and insertable length. They were a little difficult to slip onto the vibrator but the problem was solved with a little lubrication. The penis one was nice and fairly realistic, the larger one which is completely smooth was great for insertion, the one with two nubs worked well for clitoral stimulation  while the nubbed tipped one was great for both clitoral and G-spot stimulation.

One major issue I had here is that the material used for the sleeves is Jelly, which not only gives off a strong and to some nauseating odor but is also not the safest of materials. Since Jelly is porous and can not be sterilized this makes a horrible set for sharing among different partners and anal play unless a condom or toy cover is also used with it. And to be quite honest regardless of usage a condom/toy cover should always be used with Jelly due to the possibility of a chemical or allergic reaction from the material. And even then I would be hesitant to use them. I would suggest anyone wishing to purchase this product or any other product made of Jelly do some research and really weigh the pros and cons.  That is also what caused my rating to be so low on this toy.

Had they been made of 100% silicone I would be fully recommending this kit until I was blue in the face. Even if it would have caused the cost to be more, silicone is completely worth it.

Pink Cherry Review

Better, more detailed and 100% accurate as to my experience with the company! First off let me begin by stating that I live in the United States and that Pink Cherry is a Canadian based company. At first I was slightly hesitant to order from them, my main issue was shipping. I was afraid that it would take a long time to receive my package and/or that the free shipping offer was not valid on orders destined to the US. Well my fears were not justified. I have ordered from them a total of three times so far and each time I have received my order within a week. I also was able to receive free shipping on all orders for ordering over a certain amount. But more on all that later.

Sex Toy Storage

Yes I know, many other people have written about the different ways to store sex toys from prying eyes. While most have centered on the purchase of actual storage containers/boxes that are specifically marketed towards the storage of vibrators and dildos, few have taken into account the cost that may associated with.

Rant: Sex Positive and some tips.

Healthy Expression of Sexuality and some Tips I know that last year I wrote about this topic. I merely scratched the surface in that post and this one has been sitting as a draft waiting to get finished since last Spring (damn you mood episodes which robbed me of so much in the last year)
