Review: Captain

This weeks entry in the dildo category is Captain from Pleasure works. Captain is a realistic dildo made of 100% silicone. A flared base allows for usage with either a harness or toy mount. The base does not act as a suction cup so if you are looking for something hands free and you don't have a toy mount this dildo isn't for you.

Who's The Boss

Boss From Fun Factory Boss is usually a word that I utter with vile contempt. But when referring to the Fun Factory dildo it is said with praise.

Warming it is not.

Sensation Warming Lubricant From ID Lubricants Recently I went on a lubricant buying spree. Considering that I engage in some form of sexual behavior every day (masturbation, sexual intercourse etc) I like to have a nice sized stock pile of lube on hand. I figured this shopping spree I would include a few that might also be able to be used as massage oil so I picked up a 2.2 oz bottle of the Sensation Warming Lubricant from ID Lubricants. This water based lube is compatible with all materials including latex which allows for multiple uses. It has a faint cinnamon odor and taste which I did not find to over powering or unpleasant. Its ingredient list is rather long which caused me some pause as I do have sensitive skin. Water/aqua/eau, Glycerin, Propylene Glycol, Caffeine, Menthoxypropanediol, Niacin, Paullinia Cupana (guarana) Leaf Extract, Vanillyl Butyl Ether, Carbomer, Edta, Hydroxyethylcellulose, Peg-45m, Tetrahydroxypropyl Ethylenediamine, Methylparaben, Sodi

Tale of Two Wands

Having a serious mental illness means that I have to take medicine to manage my symptoms. I have seen lots of bloggers talk about the sexual side effects of the medicine that is used to treat anxiety and depression but few have discussed matters relating to what are known as SMI's or serious mental illness.* Often times the medications used to treat SMI's has devastating effects on sexual function. This includes loss of sexual desire and difficulty or inability to achieve orgasm. For men it mean both those and erectile dysfunction. There really isn't a single solution to help over come these problems. The only advice I can give is to explore sexually. Don't be afraid to add sex toys to the mix. Think of them as extensions or things that compliment sexual activity rather than replacements. If you are the partner of someone who having sexual side effects due to medication please be patient with your partner, don't place blame and remember we need these medications

Update

I am asking that my readers have patience. In the near future this blog will be active once again. My mental illness has taken a lot out of me as has the treatment. I have multiple reviews in various stages of writing and editing and even a few articles. At this time I have been more focused on my other blog Of Melancholia, Mania and Psychosis .
